Dr. Greg Usher graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College at The University of Guelph in 1977. After practicing for two and a half years in suburban Toronto he became a partner in another practice in downtown Toronto. Twenty-one years later Dr. Usher left and started Usher Animal Hospital. Dr. Usher was born in Toronto and except for his six years in Guelph at university has always called Toronto home. In 1996 Toronto Life Magazine voted Dr. Usher Toronto’s Most Caring Veterinarian and in 2000 Now Magazine voted him Toronto’s Best Veterinarian. Dr. Usher is interested in all aspects of general medicine with a special interest in dentistry and surgery. He is a member of The College of Veterinarians, The Ontario Veterinary Medical Association, The Toronto Academy of Veterinary Medicine, The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association as well as the Canadian and American Dental Societies. Dr. Usher has an adorable pug Kooper and Zero, a whippet cross that was rescued from a roadside in Caledon. Zero loves to curl up and sleep the days away. Dr. Usher is married to Anne and has two sons Travis, currently at The University of Toronto and Sean at the Stratford Chef School. When not at the practice or a continuing education lecture Dr. Usher loves to scuba dive the Caribbean or hike the red rocks of Arizona. An avid believer in the importance of communication and our relationships Dr. Usher is a certified facilitator for a number of communication courses. |
